Dumpster days only 5 dumpsters this year, did not fill them last year.
Mike to look into making it hazmat day too

Dues letter will be sent this week. Kay worked with June.

Dumpsters will be set Friday. Need 6 volunteers for 8-11, 11-2, 2-5 Saturday and Sunday. Steve to send dues paid list to don.
Looking for volunteers from board. Perhaps add charity contribution bin.

Need a website person, to review the website. Neil to review website on a weekly basis. Changes to website: remove yellow pages add "business opportunities"

Beautification project:
Mike to direct, Craig to help
House of the month awards
Nomination process not just for dues paying members, 3 winners per month

Fire project:
We have a large budget for fire prevention. Mike feels that a large part of the budget for education. People never do anything until its too late.
Mike to talk to PCFD to hand out fliers at dumpster days.

Much discussion about fire education, signage, state and federal programs. Mike to write a draft report and submit it to the board.

Reverse 911 notification Mike to write something up.

Architectural:
475 woodland

Plan looks good, needs some snow addressing between garage and front door.

Other business:
Burned out house, don sent a letter reminding her that it is now spring. Don gave her 3 names of potential contractors for removal

Treasurer’s Report:
Received Deposits of $150
Checking Balance: $5,522.63
Saving Account Balance: $12,193.68 (as of 12/31/2011)
SPHOA is a non-profit organization. The savings account is titled “Legal Defense Fund” Should we change the name, so that it can be used more flexibly? There may be a State/County requirement. Steve to research.

Budget: See amended Budget Report to be posted by K. Kunkel

Trails: Sprint to Summit date TBD – Watch this space.
Trying to get parking open
Paved trail need update, meeting 3/2 Don to attend
Sp trails on map but not shown well
Would a petition to open gate and allow parking help?

General Business:
SPHOA should host block parties.
Tree Removal Program should continue. (send invite with dues notice)
We should ramp up Wild Fire Awareness Program. Publish more stuff, put together a helpful mailer (Mike Q?)
Develop Evacuation plan (Consult Summit Co Sheriff/PC Fire District) – publish on website.
House of the Month Contest. Include prize perhaps a $25 gift certificate to No Worries. (Budget amended to include 5 months worth of prizes)
Re institute ‘Park Lark’
Discovery Development Report: Efforts going well working with Art Lang to get a large number of petition signatures (goal of 500)

Look into improving/ updating website.
Add building suggestions to website
With links to county architectural website
Add a map to website
Revise mailing list -Craig to take over
Steve to get updated homeowners list.

No Worries sign to be replaced with some funds from SPHOA, out of SP beautification fund.

Issues: what is process for arch committee? Plan approval, keep directors in the loop

Burned down house- due to be torn down in spring. Cannot be forced to be taken down

Meeting to order
Amended minutes approved. Minutes to be sent to Gambrelli

Treasurer’s report
Steve contacted bank and signed signature cards, Kay did same.
Steve has check book and records. Financials same as last month with the addition of
interest. Steve has PO Box key, Kay will also get a key. Interest for Dec $6.31; $93 and
change. For the year total balance $12193.68 Checking bal $5886.09
Jan 21 deposit 2 checks ($100) to checking
Dues paid by board members
Reimburse S.Sady $10.00 for corporate registration
S.Sady to fill in officers and directors for state forms.

Update on Weilenmenn Development- Craig Eroh
County must report to state on affordable housing. Summit County chooses to classify
Snyderville basin as separate entity, not what law states. Several other developments
have gone away, or been stopped. Leaving Weilenmenn as the only development still in
the works. Next meeting Feb8 at Richins building 6:00
Craig to post information on the Summit Park website

Architectural report
Handing out of CC&Rs to Charlie. Discussion about variance between Summit Park and
county codes, county building code supersedes hoa codes.

Wildfire concerns
Kay has wildfire info sheet looking into distribution methods.

Trails
No paved trail from sp to Gorgoza until 2012 have funding but not in plan until then
Trailhead parking next summer abutters object, and will be fighting it.

Roads Summit County plans on continuing Parkview widening and paving from where
they left off last year up to Crestview. New water and sewer pipes going in at that time.
One way sign removed at Maple and Crestview.

Increasing membership ideas:
SPHOA to offer more services, better value for dues.

Craig suggests some sort of social/ block partys

Kay asked for directors to bring projects and concerns to next meeting
Burned out house to be torn down and rebuilt in the spring. Don Jacobs has contacted
owner, and county to see about speeding up the process. There is no law requiring burnt
houses to be torn down. Home owner states she plans to rebuild.
